Corodek Roofing FAQs
Q: What is the minimum roof pitch for Corodek® corrugated sheeting? A: The minimum recommended pitch is 5 degrees. If your pitch is less than 5 degrees, Corodek® is not appropriate. Trimdek® works at a minimum of 3 degrees and Klip-Lok® / METLOK 700 works at a minimum of 1 degree.Q: How many Corodek® sheets do I need for my roof? A: Divide your roof width by 0.762 metres, which is the effective coverage per sheet. Round up to the nearest whole number and add 10% for side laps and waste. For a 6m wide roof: 6 divided by 0.762 equals 7.9, so order 9 sheets. Send your dimensions to ClickSteel if you want help confirming your quantities.Q: What is the difference between 0.42mm and 0.48mm BMT? A: BMT is Base Metal Thickness. 0.42mm is standard for most residential builds and handles typical span and load conditions. 0.48mm is suited to wider spans, higher wind areas, commercial or agricultural applications, or where your building engineer has specified a heavier gauge.Q: What fasteners should I use with Corodek® corrugated roofing? A: Always fix through the crest of the corrugation, never the valley. For timber purlins use M6 hex head self-drilling screws with EPDM washers. For steel supports use M5.5 hex head self-drilling screws with seal. Colour-matched screws are available to suit your COLORBOND® colour choice.Q: Can I reroof existing corrugated iron with Corodek®? A: In many cases yes, provided the existing structure is sound and purlin spacing is within the span limits for your chosen BMT. A direct overlay adds load to the frame, so it is worth having a builder or structural engineer confirm suitability before you proceed.Q: Is Corodek® the same as corrugated iron? A: They share the same corrugated profile but are different materials. Traditional corrugated iron is galvanised steel with a silver metallic finish. Corodek® is COLORBOND® pre-painted steel, meaning it comes in a full range of colours, resists corrosion more effectively, and carries a BlueScope warranty. It is the modern equivalent of corrugated iron.Q: Does ClickSteel deliver Corodek® sheeting Australia-wide? A: Yes. ClickSteel delivers from warehouses in WA, SA, NSW, VIC, and QLD. Long sheets are delivered on flat-bed freight. Delivery costs are calculated at checkout based on your postcode. Click & Collect is also available from ClickSteel locations in each state.- Cover : 762mm.

Steel wall cladding offers a range of benefits:
Durability: Resistant to corrosion, rot, termites, and fire.
Aesthetics: Modern, clean appearance in a variety of Colorbond® colours.
Low maintenance: No painting or sealing required.
Energy efficiency: Reflects heat and reduces energy costs.
Versatility: Suitable for both vertical and horizontal applications.
Are your cladding sheets made from genuine Colorbond® steel?
Yes — all ClickSteel cladding sheets are manufactured using 100% genuine BlueScope Colorbond® steel.
This ensures you’re getting the same proven Australian-made product trusted by builders and architects nationwide, backed by a BlueScope manufacturer warranty.
What profiles are available for wall cladding?
We offer a range of Colorbond cladding profiles to suit every design style:

Each profile can be installed vertically or horizontally, depending on the desired look.
Can I install wall cladding myself?

How do I calculate how much wall cladding I need?
Measure the total surface area (width × height) of the wall you’re cladding.
Divide that by your chosen profile’s coverage width to determine how many sheets you’ll need.
Add a small allowance (5–10%) for overlaps, trimming, and waste.
Our ClickSteel team can help you confirm your measurements before ordering.
How long does delivery take?
We deliver Australia-wide, with most wall cladding orders arriving within 5–10 business days.
You can also choose Click & Collect from our network of depots in major cities for faster turnaround.
How long will Colorbond wall cladding last?
When installed correctly, Colorbond wall cladding can last 20–30 years or more.
It’s engineered to resist harsh Australian conditions — including sun, wind, and rain — and requires minimal maintenance over its lifetime.
