How many corrugated sheets do I need?

Divide your roof width in millimetres by 762 and round up — that’s your sheet count. Sheet length is ridge to gutter line, plus your gutter overhang (50mm minimum). For a gable roof, calculate each side separately and add them together.

Roof type
Roof width (mm) Across the building
Ridge to gutter (mm) Along the slope
Gutter overhang (mm) 50mm minimum
Roof pitch (degrees) 5 degrees minimum
Thickness (BMT) Sets the maximum purlin spacing
Sheets required 16
Sheets per plane8
Cut length per sheet4.05 m
Total lineal metres64.8 LM
Roof area covered48.7 m²
Purlin rows per plane5
Sheet cover width762 mm

Estimates only, for planning purposes. Fastener counts assume crest fixing at every second crest. Confirm span, fixing and wind category with your builder, installer or engineer before ordering.

What is double sided COLORBOND roof sheeting?
Double sided COLORBOND® sheeting is corrugated steel with the same gloss colour on the top and the underside. It’s made for roofs where the underside stays visible; standard sheets have a plain backer coat underneath.
Where should I use double sided gloss roofing?
Use it on patios, verandahs, pergolas, carports, alfresco areas and open sheds, anywhere without a ceiling. ClickSteel also sells Double Sided Gloss patio roof kits.
Is double sided roofing worth the extra cost?
Yes, if the underside will be seen, because it avoids adding a ceiling lining. If the roof will have a ceiling, standard COLORBOND® corrugated is better value.
What are the specs of Corodek double sided gloss sheets?
Corodek Double Sided Gloss sheets are 0.42mm BMT, with a 762mm cover width, 16mm rib height and 5° minimum pitch, cut to length (±10mm). Confirm spans and wind rating with your builder for freestanding patios.
Does a double sided gloss patio roof get hot?
Light colours reflect much of the sun’s heat, but a single steel sheet still transfers some. For a cooler patio in hot climates, consider an insulated roof panel.
